As a teenager I built my first home darkroom where I had a small photo business. My first camera was a Yashica Mat twin-lens reflex 120 roll film camera, it was replaced with a Rolleiflex. Later while in the US military I bought a Nikon-F 35mm camera (and some lenses) directly from Hong Kong. In the years since then I have owned a Hasselblad and a Mamiya 645. The only film camera I still have is a motorized Pentax LX 35mm with several lenses. A few years ago I made the move to all digital photo gear with a Nikon 990, later an 8400 and a Mac computer. Recently I added a Canon G9 and a Nikon D700. To share my photos online I have created a web site, DigitalArtandMore.com, and set up accounts on Flickr and of coarse here at Zenfolio. On my site you'll find many resources, references and how-to articles - it's an ongoing effort to share knowledge and technical insights.
All of the photos that have been placed on this site have been optimized for viewing on the web, which means that their sizes (H/V plus resolution) have been scaled down for use on this site. The best way to view a photo set after opening it is to CLICK ON SLIDESHOW (upper right). The photos will automatically start playing, but if you HOVER THE CURSOR at the bottom of the screen you will see a variety of controls for the slideshow. Also at the right side of the slideshow window there are Caption and Background Color controls. |
